Parking Policy
Parking Rules (Single Family Homes Area)
All parking on the streets within the Mayfair Community for single-family home area is governed by the Town of Purcellville Parking Rules & Regulations and is subject to enforcement by the Town of Purcellville Police Department.
Parking Rules(Townhouse Area Only)
All vehicles parked on the Common Area parking areas shall be subject to this parking policy, Loudoun County & Town of Purcellville ordinances and Virginia law. Owners and residents are responsible for the actions of their tenants, guests and invitees.
No signs, initials, numbers, or any other alteration to parking spaces may be painted, marked or erected by anyone other than the Management Agent or a contractor acting on behalf of the Association.
Vehicles parked on the Common Area parking areas are the sole risk of the owner(s) thereof. The Association and Managing Agent assume no responsibility or liability for damage, theft, of vehicles or their contents.
COMMERCIAL OR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, TRAILERS, TRUCKS (1 TON AND OVER), CAMPERS, BOATS, OVERSIZED VEHICLES, OR EQUIVALENT VEHICLES ARE PROHIBITED. "Commercial" vehicles are defined herein as any vehicle with a rated carrying capacity of 2,000 lbs. (1 ton); and/or having more than two axles; and/or that bears external printing or advertising for a commercial enterprise,; and/or, any vehicle, regardless of capacity, which is licensed as a commercial or "For Hire" vehicle, is larger than standard private passenger cars or vans, is designated to transport more than fifteen (15) persons, or vehicles whose bodies have been modified clearly for commercial or business purposes (e.g., equipment racks, flat beds, etc.).
Police, federal, state, and local government, fire department vehicles are exempt from the definition of "commercial vehicles".
The following types of vehicles are expressly prohibited; garbage, dump, cement or tow trucks, construction equipment or construction-related vehicles, and passenger buses, whether used for personal, social, business, or commercial uses.
Personally driven moving trucks (e.g., U-Hauls) should not be stored on the property for longer than 3 days.
"Recreational" vehicles are vehicles which meet any of the above prohibited size descriptions. Jeeps, SUVs, 4x4' s and standard passenger vans used for personal transportation are considered approved vehicles unless they are in violation of required size and appearance limitations or are primarily for off-road use.
"Junk" or inoperable vehicles are prohibited. Nothing shall be stored in or upon any parking space, nor shall trash or debris be allowed to accumulate. A vehicle shall be considered "inoperable" if it cannot move under its own power.
Repairing vehicles of any kind shall-not be permitted in the parking areas; except that of ordinary maintenance, such as checking and adding fluids in limited amounts and changing flat tires shall be permitted. Changing oil or flushing radiators is expressly prohibited. All vehicles shall be maintained in proper operating condition so as not to be a hazard or nuisance by noise, exhaust emissions, fluid leakage or appearance as determined by the Board of Directors.
All vehicles parked in common area parking spaces shall have current license plates, county registration and inspection stickers.
Trailers, campers, recreational vehicles, or boats may not be parked on the association property in common area parking spaces. These vehicles must be in good repair and may only be parked in the driveway of the owners dwelling for no longer than 10 days.
Any vehicle falling in the above classification may be stored in a garage out of open view.
Storage Pods shall not be stored in common area parking spaces within the Association.
Non-resident vehicles should not be parked in common area spaces for more than 5 consecutive calendar days.
No vehicle shall be parked or stored in the same common area parking space for more than 30 consecutive days.
INFRACTIONS RESULTING IN ENFORCEMENT BY TOWING WITHOUT NOTICE
Vehicles shall be subject to immediate towing if found to be in violation of these rules.
In a fire lane designated by sign and yellow curb. (All Streets in the Mayfair Townhouse Area are Fire Lanes)
ln a manner so as to block access to or egress from another parking space, sidewalk, driveway aprons, or entrance way, or parking over the lines of another parking space, or if the vehicle or any attachment thereto (luggage or cargo rack, equipment racks, etc.) extends beyond the boundaries of the parking space.
If the vehicle is deemed hazardous with the potential to cause property damage or injury to persons
On lawns or common elements other than paved parking places.
Parked on the maintenance access road for the retention pond.
If after notice to the owner of a vehicle that has been parked in the same space for15 or more consecutive days.
